What to do this weekend: Capitol Park Museum’s Flavors of Louisiana festival
This Sunday, June 7, the Capitol Park Museum will host the Flavors of Louisiana festival, benefitting Friends of the Capitol Park Museum, with the goal of gathering the community to celebrate the traditions special to the state. Come hungry and leave happy at the festival, which will include an Anything Over Rice cook-off, live music, family-friendly activities and a variety of Louisiana food vendors.

Bringing together local chefs, home cooks, artisans and community organizations, the event will fill the downtown area with a day of flavor, fellowship and cultural celebration. Proceeds from the festival will support educational programming, exhibitions and community initiatives that aim to preserve and express Louisiana’s history and culture.
