Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Sunday in the Park returns

Spring has officially arrived, marking the return of Louisiana’s beloved festival and outdoor concert season. Starting April 7, the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Sunday in the Park concert series returns for its 17th spring season.
The weekly series of free outdoor concerts will feature Louisiana musicians performing on the Shaw Center for the Arts Plaza every Sunday afternoon in April from 2-5 p.m.
Curated by program manager John Kaufman, this spring’s lineup includes:

April 7 — Shawn Williams

Shawn Williams describes her music as “alt-rock/countrybilly”

April 14 — David Hinson

David Hinson, local musician and educator, will be joined by his band, Side Saddle

April 21 — THEBROSFRESH

THEBROSFRESH will pay homage to their R&B/soul, southern hip-hop and rock upbringing as part of Baton Rouge Blues Fest

April 28 — Gerard Delafose & the Zydeco Gators

The Grammy-nominated and international touring artist and his band mix up their own funky groove with bluesy and slow belly-rubbing dancing sounds.
