From the August issue: Best Dressed honorees look to the future

This year’s Baton Rouge Best Dressed Ball honors a theme of hope–hope that this new age will bring about positive change and progress in cancer diagnosis and treatments. Last year, the ball not only celebrated its 50th anniversary, but also celebrated the more than $3 million that was raised for the American Cancer Society in the last half-century. This year, honorees look forward to the future. Organizers of this year’s ball will recognize 20 local men and women who all share the same passion for this philanthropy.

This year’s ball will take place on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Raising Cane’s River Center. While last year’s theme was looking back, this year is all about facing the future. Those being honored and those attending can expect another night filled with celebration, philanthropy and fun.
