Work aboard the USS Kidd

Can you lend a helping hand this Saturday? Then pack a lunch and a tool bag and head to the USS Kidd. The veteran’s memorial and museum is hosting a mini field day June 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those who can help out with volunteer labor such as housekeeping, painting, welding, electrical work and more. All branches of the service are welcome, but no military experience is required. Children must be at least nine years of age to participate. If interested, call 225-342-1942. The USS Kidd Veteran’s Memorial and Museum is located on South River Road in downtown Baton Rouge .
