Saturday: Symphony Pops

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the LSU Rural Life Museum are coming together to host their third annual outdoor fundraising concert May 9. Three finalists from American Idol, LaKisha Jones, Haley Scarnato, and Matt Giraud, will join Associate Conductor David Torns and the Baton Rouge Symphony Pops for Symphony Idol. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and both lawn seating and table seating are available.

Fur Ball details

Companion Animal Alliance is once again hosting Fur Ball, Baton Rouge’s one and only pet-friendly fundraising gala, this Saturday, May 9. The gala encourages party-goers and their furry friends to come dressed to impress. The ball is happening at the Crowne Plaza at 6:30 p.m. and includes live entertainment, a silent auction and a Petz Plaza spa.
