MLK paint day

The Walls Project is joining forces with Mayor Kip Holden’s neighborhood revitalization initiative, Love Your Block, to host a Martin Luther King day of service Monday, Jan. 19. Can you lend a hand and show your support? Volunteers are asked to arrive in paint attire at 8 a.m. in the parking lot next to Pastime Restaurant; the pillars holding up the I-10 Mississippi Bridge ramp will be painted.
“We’ve been dedicated to bringing the work of serious artists to public spaces in Baton Rouge,” says Casey Phillips, The Walls Project founder. “We are just as committed to including all members of the community to see, learn and join in The Walls mission.” For further details, call 208-0862
