Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to host mother son dance

Bonding time is a vital part of any relationship, especially between parents and their children. So why not mix a little bit of fun into the bonding experience, via dancing, games and food?

The Louisiana Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will host its first-ever Mother Son Dance in the Capital Region on June 23. The event will be held at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel beginning at 6:30 p.m. and will feature entertainment including a DJ and interactive sports-themed games.

The evening is aimed at mothers and their sons age 3 to 13. Some fun perks for the moms will include Massage Envy chair massages and a curl bar by Air Blow Dry Bar. There will be food from Fresh Kitchen and desserts from Tallulah. Recommended attire is dressy casual.

The event will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s mission to treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. The Foundation gives more than $100 million to battle type 1 diabetes each year.
