Class: Managing turf grass and weeds for winter, Planning ahead for bulbs

Though the outside temps may say otherwise, winter is on its way. Join the Louisiana Master Gardener program, an educational service offered through the LSU AgCenter, as it hosts a class tonight, Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. The presentation will cover two different gardening topics:

  1. Managing Turf Grass & Weeds for Winter: Learn how to winterize your turf grass, when to stop fertilizing, and how to manage weeds and pests.
  2. Plan(t) Ahead for Bulbs: Getting beautiful flowers from bulbs requires advance planning. Learn what bulbs grow best, how to plant them, and maintenance techniques for fading blooms.
