Capital Chefs’ Showcase next week

Party-goers at the 2014 Capital Chefs’ Showcase

How can you host a party in Todd Graves’ 1,200-square-foot, triple-decker treehouse? What about a party with LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri and his wife Karen in the Player’s Lounge at Alex Box Stadium? Or perhaps a dinner with Food Network Star finalist Jay Ducote? All of these things and more are up for grabs as part of the live auction packages at Cancer Services’ annual Capital Chefs’ Showcase.

Kicking off at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10, this year’s event—titled “Savor the Night”—carries on the decades-long tradition of the organization’s signature fundraiser. With Paul and Karen Mainieri as honorary chairs, the evening will feature delicious food from the city’s finest restaurants and caterers, live music, an open bar, and live and silent auctions. Guests can also try their hand at winning a $4,000 Shimmering Shopping Spree from Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry.
