Signature Wedding: Ashlee Abudyak and Kyle Jenkins
November 17, 2018
“Kyle and I met while out one evening listening to a band, which happened to be his brothers’ band,” explains Ashlee. “He asked me to dance multiple times, and I turned him down over and over. He was charming and persistent, so I finally agreed and gave him the last dance of the night. Ever since that night, we have been inseparable!”
Six years later, Kyle popped the question to Ashlee in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Disney World. Determined to make her big day a fairytale, Ashlee says every part of the wedding was a thought-out expression of the couple’s life together.
“It was important to us that every detail reflected who we are as individuals and as a couple,” she notes. “I’m a self diagnosed coffee addict, and his favorite food group is french fries, so we incorporated both of those details right away. That is how Jenkins Java was born. Our own little coffee shop at our wedding reception was complete with baristas, a full menu of espresso and coffee drinks and a sign made by the groom and his brother. The sign’s design was a version of my favorite coffee shop’s logo, but included our fur babies at the center.”
In addition to the reception’s many intricate details, the couple also enjoyed plenty of private moments throughout the big day.
“I knew there would be a lot of hustle and bustle on the wedding day, so it was my first priority that we have several moments to ourselves,” Ashlee says. “Before we went into the reception, we had our first dance by candlelight, surrounded by only our parents and the stars. It was the perfect moment to reflect on everything that had just happened and to take each other in without any distractions. Towards the end of the night, we were whisked away to enjoy beignets from the famous Café Du Monde at the cutest little table set for two. All the little moments were exactly what we needed. We still hear comments from loved ones on how beautifully everything came together and how everything was ‘so us.'”
