Ashley Thom knows a thing or two about setting a table. As co-owner of Blue Avenue Events—a boutique rental company—she creates noteworthy tablescapes for parties ranging from intimate bridal luncheons to large-scale corporate affairs. For her, attention to detail is paramount. This same zeal is reflected in the Thanksgiving table she sets at home.
“I love to mix old and new elements,” says Thom. “For example, vintage chargers and crystal greatly complement more contemporary china. I enjoy using my grandmother’s silver or remembering a special estate sale trip when drinking out of glassware I discovered there. It makes the entertaining experience personal.”
