Junior League food drive

Junior League food drive

While summer means camp and vacation for some kids, for others it may mean skipping a meal. It’s estimated that those who have to go without the prepared meals from their schools during the summer months may miss as many as 10 meals per week. But you can help! The Junior League of Baton Rouge’s “Food’s Out for Summer” food drive is taking place this Saturday, April 25, at the EBR Library on Goodwood beginning at 1 p.m. The event will include coloring activities for kids, music, face painting, and snowballs, and those who go are encouraged to bring food items to donate. For more information, call 924-0298 or see the event’s Facebook page here.
