What to do this Weekend: Full Moon Market’s Twilight Reverie
Head to Downtown Plaquemine tomorrow, Friday, December 5, for a large-scale celebration of Full Moon Market’s first anniversary.
With a mission to awaken small cities by bringing people, creativity and commerce back to their main streets, the market will host over 50 local vendors. The event is free and family-friendly with a live performance by The Specs.
For this first birthday bash, the market is recognizing Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) as the guest of honor. CASA supports children in foster care through advocating for them and supporting them throughout the community.
In addition, West Baton Rouge Animal Shelter & Animal Control is partnering with the market. The shelter will have adoption opportunities and volunteer sign-ups to support its rescue and care efforts. In addition, a clothes, toy and goods drive for CASA and a food drive for the animal shelter will be held.
From 6 to 9 p.m., the Full Moon Market will bring an activity-packed block party to the quiet town. There will be a designated dance floor and limited-edition Full Moon Market merchandise, bringing the community together for a good cause.
