Our mental mood board for this transitional time of year has us feeling ready to shine. For the first pick in our new “color of the month” series, we’re turning the spotlight onto items that are bound help make the days ahead seem a little brighter. Keep scrolling to see some of our favorite shimmering pieces from local shops around town:

There’s something, shall we say, timeless about this Patek Philippe watch from Lee Michaels. With its month, day and date design, you might even call it the first smart watch, and with its gleaming gold case, it’s a natural for our September collection.

Leopards might normally blend in to the burnished gold of the African savannah, but it’d be shame to camouflage these beauties standing out on the sofas at Mint.

A snow-white pearl may be the draw of an oyster, but in these painterly trinket dishes from Paperwhite Stationary Boutique, the metallic gold sheen of the shell is the height of coastal-inspired elegance.

Whether twisting in the sunlight or caught firmly in a moonlit glow, these golden earrings from Maison Greige make a subtle statement—all glamour, no gaudiness.

Garden & Gun has long been a resource for Southern-bred recipes with worldly flair, and this cookbook—complete with an embossed, gilded cover too lovely to stay on The Queen Bee’s shelf for long—will certainly draw eyes from near and far.

These sandals from Currie may be the pinnacle of fall trends, but summer isn’t over quite yet, which means that there’s still time for dancing the night away in a shoe the shade of starlight.
