Here comes the White Oak Plantation Bridal Show

Few people outside the local know-how would discover, on their own, the hidden wonderland just off the beaten path of O’Neal Road in Baton Rouge. But White Oak Plantation, a stately mansion guarded by rows of dripping live oaks and daintily lit along courtyard paths and gardens, has, for 25 years, retained its reputation as one of the most popular wedding venues in the city. And this Sunday, March 5, from 1 to 4:40 p.m., the plantation will play host once again to its annual Bridal Show, where more than 30 wedding and bridal vendors will present their wares for the wandering eyes of soon-to-be-brides and planners privy to the best of the best.

Beneath the 26-foot ceilings and hanging chandeliers of the antique parlors and on black-and-white tiled ballroom floors, peeking into red brick courtyards dotted with fountains and fireplaces, guests will be welcome to Champagne for sipping and plenty of samples from owner Chef John Folse’s specialty wedding cuisine. An Ashley Renee Bridal fashion show will close out the event at 4 p.m., and winners of raffles and a honeymoon to Punta Cana will claim their prizes before afternoon’s end.

Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased through the show’s Eventbrite page.
