Servers at the 2014 event

The third annual Waiting on a Cure benefits the Bella Bowman Foundation. Head to Mestizo next Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. to be waited on by local celebrity staff as they compete for tips to donate to the nonprofit. This year’s theme is “Superheroes that Serve.”

Kim and Trey founded the Bella Bowman Foundation after their daughter Bella was diagnosed with and ultimately succumbed to brain cancer.

Local celebrities serving at the event are Prescott Bailey, Dr. Michael Hanemann, Rafe Guidry, Jordan Piazza,  Lawrence Steele, Libby Davis, Michelle Lanoix, Jaimee Little, Leighton Thorning and Mimi Tompkins. Vote for your favorite here.
