Girls on the Run 5K
The annual spring Girls on the Run South Louisiana 5K is here. The race is happening next Saturday, May 9, at 9 a.m. at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. Whether you’re planning to lace up your shoes and run or stand on the sidelines and cheer, the girls who have been training all semester will appreciate your support. Men, women, boys and girls of all ages are invited to participate. The event is noncompetitive and every finisher will receive a custom Girls on the Run 5K medal.
Free eggs from Indie Plate
Indie Plate, an online grocery delivery service, has announced its plan to give one dozen farm-fresh eggs for free with every order during the summer months, starting May 1. In other farm-to-door news, Daily Report recently announced the closure of Country Table, a delivery service with a similar concept to Indie Plate.
