Monochrome is on the move

Monochrome Contemporary Furniture will soon occupy new digs. The high-end furniture store, currently located in the Southdowns Village Shopping Center, has just purchased a 19,000-square-foot warehouse at 1010 Nicholson Drive. Designer Bridget Tiek describes the renovation of the warehouse, slated to take from four to six months: “The total space will be divided, with Monochrome Furniture + Design and The Front Door Architecture taking the largest section, about 9,000 square feet. We’ll be increasing our inventory and adding new designers to have a full range—in both price and style—of contemporary furniture and accessories.” Tiek notes that plans are evolving for the remaining space. It “will be divided into three lease areas, in which we hope to bring in some like-minded creative people—possibly an art gallery, a specialty boutique or a café.” Read the full story in Daily Report here.
