“I’m not an artist, but artists intrigue me,” explains Gerry Daigle as she and her husband Don meander around their home, pointing out colorful paintings and striking sculptures. The circuit they follow is tantamount to a guided museum tour. But unlike the holdings in a public art institution, virtually every piece in the Daigles’ art collection has a very personal signifigance—a memory of a special trip, recollections of a relationship with the artist, or knowledge of the artist’s own fascinating backstory.
