A private garden tucked behind St. Louis Cathedral plays host to a special engagement

While Adele Poché wasn’t in complete shock when her long-time boyfriend, Luke Andrews, proposed—the couple had been to look at rings a few months prior—she was surprised that he was able to get all of their family and friends together. “Both of my sisters and Luke’s sister live out of state, and they were all there for the engagement,” she says.

“It was challenging finding a date that worked for everyone in both of our families,” Luke explains. “It was Adele’s mom who sparked the perfect idea: a proposal in St. Anthony’s Garden followed by a private room at Tableau filled with our favorite people.” The private garden is a hidden gem of New Orleans, gated and tucked away behind St. Louis Cathedral.

The couple celebrated their engagement with a party on April 12 at The Southern Hotel in Covington. Their New Orleans wedding is set for November 22 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor with a reception to follow at the Board of Trade.
