Bella’s Ball

The fourth annual Bella’s Ball benefiting the Bella Bowman Foundation is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, at L’Auberge Casino and Hotel. Tea, Fashions and Fancies

The LSU Textile and Costume Museum and the LSU Rural Life Museum are coming together to host Tea, Fashions and Fancies, an English-style tea Saturday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rural Life Museum’s visitor center. Guests will be served multiple courses including assorted sandwiches and pastries while being entertained by a jewelry and fashion show featuring designs by Mignon Faget.


New Orleans-style street party

The East Baton Rouge Parish Library invites the public to its New Orleans-style street party from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the Town Square downtown. The family-friendly event is free and includes music, food, street artists, tarot card readers, fortune tellers, face painters and more. The evening is celebrating the book A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, which is the focus of this year’s “One Book, One Community” program. Get more details here.
