Holiday cooking class

Culinary herbalist Sarah Liberta is leading two cooking classes pertaining to holiday meals at Red Stick Spice Co. The classes will include cooking demonstrations and provide samples. Herbs and Spices for the Holidays: Sweets is scheduled for Nov. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m.; Holiday Gifts with Herbs and Spices is scheduled for Dec. 9, also from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition to offering expert insights on cooking with herbs, Liberta will show class participants how to use herbs throughout the home for decoration and fragrance. Cocktails in the Garden

Celebrate the Golden Age of Hollywood at Cocktails in the Garden, and go dressed as your favorite star. The event is set for tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens.
