How Mercedes-Benz technology protects drivers

Mercedes-Benz has long represented luxury, but its strongest innovation is advanced safety technology designed to help prevent accidents before they occur. At Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge, Client Experience Curator Josh Cassioppi highlights how today’s systems are increasingly predictive.

Features such as Evasive Steering Assist help refine driver input during sudden maneuvers. Automatic brake drying supports consistent stopping performance in wet weather. Exit Assist alerts drivers and passengers to approaching cyclists or vehicles before a door is opened. In more serious situations, Active Emergency Stop Assist can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop and contact emergency services if the driver does not respond.

“These systems are designed for split-second moments,” Cassioppi said. “They are constantly improving.”
