From the November issue: ESPN’s Kaylee Hartung runs away with the game

Kaylee Hartung is always on the move, which is all right for a 30-year-old reporter just breaking out at the top of her game. Now a sideline reporter for ESPN’s SEC Network  and contributor to SportsCenter, Hartung, a graduate of Episcopal High School and Washington & Lee University, had no idea that she would ever find herself in such a coveted position.

“If I had tried planning how to do this,” she says, “I’m sure I would have screwed it up somehow.”

A fervent researcher and a natural on-air personality, Hartung can perform her best self at the drop of a hat, even if a job requires that she hop on a plane with less than 24 hours notice. But thanks to a supportive family and a stellar group of friends, Hartung never seems too far away from the things that keep her grounded.

To learn more about Kaylee’s busy life and her Baton Rouge roots, check out our cover story in the November issue of inRegister, available on newsstands now.
