Casas for CASA fiesta kicks off fundraiser this weekend

Children love spaces of their own–from imaginary worlds and blanket forts to small treehouses and tiny alcoves. These spaces represent a chance to play, have fun and explore. For more than two decades, Casas for CASA has given some lucky children special spaces designed with children in mind.

The 22nd annual Casas for CASA playhouse fundraiser is back this year to help fund and support the work of the Capital Area CASA Association, which trains and supports volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children. This year’s playhouse is modeled after Grand Victorian homes and is valued at $25,500. Raffle tickets, priced at $5 each, will be on sale from July 23 until August 14, and the playhouse will be on display at the Mall of Louisiana. Raffle tickets are also available online.

As a kickoff to its annual raffle, the Casas for CASA Fiesta will take place this Sunday, July 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel. Guests will enjoy live music and Mexican food while bidding on silent auction items. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
