LeBlanc interviews famed architect Michael Graves shortly before his death.

From the May issue: Karen LeBlanc’s design destinations

In a world where viewers can choose from hundreds of television channels, it’s a wonder that Karen LeBlanc managed to notice a void in its abundant programming—in spite of so many DIY-focused shows and channels, few seemed to focus on the emerging trends or creative processes that come with interior design. Now as host of her own online show The Design Tourist and a home décor host on HSN, LeBlanc ensures that viewers get a healthy dose of design smarts from all over the world.

“What I love most about my show is that I get to meet the design world’s most fascinating and accomplished people—designers and star architects,” she says.

These stars have included the legendary designer and architect Michael Graves, Jonathan Adler, Daniel Libeskind and Ty Pennington, as well as a host of other faces familiar to fans of HGTV. Apart from the television, you may even catch her interviews and writing in one of the six magazines to which she contributes.
