Junior League’s Kitchen Tours showcase technology and design

As any loyal House Hunters viewer knows, the kitchen—from its design to its technology—can be the make-it-or-break-it room of a home. To highlight many of the new features now available for this hub of the home, the Junior League of Baton Rouge is hosting its annual Kitchen Tours event this Sunday, April 10, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

This ticketed, self-guided tour will take visitors through well-appointed kitchens in the Baton Rouge area and will also include a hospitality area where snacks and water will be available, along with River Road Recipes cookbooks and sponsor information. For anyone interested in a bit more, the event also offers VIP tickets that include a tour and presentation by Galatoire’s Chef Kelley McCann at 11 a.m., followed by a brunch at 11:30. From there, a limo bus stocked with wine and champagne will transfer VIP guests to the hospitality area and to all 6 homes on tour. VIP ticket holders will also get to participate in a special raffle.

The kitchens on tour will also be highlighted in the upcoming May 2016 issue of inRegister, just as last year’s spotlighted kitchens were featured in the magazine last May. To purchase tickets for this weekend’s event, visit juniorleaguebr.org.
