Two of the Southeast’s most respected regional journalism contests recognized inRegister Magazine for its special publication inRegister Weddings, as well as feature photography, magazine cover design and travel and lifestyle reporting included in 2025 print issues.

Notably, the Society for Features Journalism awarded inRegister second place in its division for inRegister Weddings as a special product. The judges noted, “It’s fun to read these well-photographed engagement-to-wedding day stories, as well as tales about anniversaries. In an unexpected touch, the section is devoted to home furnishings toward the end… Food, fashion, venues and details are covered so well that even I know what kind of thank-you note should be sent. This is wedding-day blissful reading.”

Founded in 1950, the Green Eyeshade Awards are the nation’s oldest regional journalism competition. Spanning 12 southeastern states, the competition recognizes excellence in print, television, radio and digital journalism. inRegister Magazine earned two second-place awards for features and a second-place award for magazine cover design, and a third-place award for lifestyle reporting.

Presented by the Arkansas Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), the Diamond Journalism Awards recognize outstanding journalism across a seven-state region. The SPJ recognized inRegister Magazine as a finalist in the special section category for inRegister Weddings.

The Arkansas Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists also recognized this cover collection as a finalist in The Green Eyeshade Awards cover design competition.

The March 2025 cover story, Oh, Honey, Honey, photographed by Jordan Hefler, was recognized as a finalist in the Diamond Journalism Awards for compelling feature photography by an individual.

Martha in Wonderland

Written by Kelli Bozeman, photographed by Jackie Haxthausen, produced by Riley Bienvenu Bourgois and with layout design by Hoa Vu, the October 2025 cover story, Martha in Wonderland, earned second place in the Society for Features Journalism Division 1 award category of general feature (1,000 – 2,499 words). Judges noted, “This fun-to-read story illustrates many of the setbacks suffered by fashion designer Martha Gibbs and how the business responded. The amazing design enhances the storytelling.”
