Get a glimpse inside the home and business of Kalyn and Luke Anderson in our March issue
Our March cover story takes readers inside the home and restaurant of the Anderson family, where joy, love, color and good company can be found in nearly every corner. While many Baton Rougeans will remember Basel’s Market from its former Highland Road location, after finding an ideal new spot for the favorite café just north in St. Francisville, Kalyn and Luke Anderson decided to create the ideal home for their young family in the quaint town as well.
In the story, the Andersons share a peek into the design of their café and home, both of which reflect Kalyn’s fun-loving spirit. From the open-concept kitchen in Basel’s Market, where Kalyn can prep food and greet customers simultaneously, to the color and pattern-filled rooms of the home where barefoot baby girls run free, each space tells the story of the life that goes on within its walls. Designing the entire home herself, thanks to the help of her husband, Luke Anderson, owner of Ansten Construction and foreman of Kalyn’s construction projects, their dream of a sweet life in St. Francisville became a reality.
