Hat Trick: Rancher Hat Bar brings a custom experience to Baton Rouge
A new shopping experience has opened in Acadian Village, giving customers the chance to fully customize hats to fit their personal style.
Beginning with a cowboy, rancher or trucker hat in a range of colors and styles, shoppers can burn or brand the hat of their choice and add accessories like charms, cards, feathers and more, making a unique piece you won’t find anywhere else.
“For someone who has never been, I love to describe it as a very unique and customizable experience,” Molly Mejia with the new Rancher Hat Bar says. “It’s very interactive, and while the baseline is that we do custom hats, it’s an entire experience in itself.”
Rancher Hat Bar CEO, Shantelle Girard, began the business out of a mobile vintage trailer before opening the brand’s first brick-and-mortar in 2023. Now, in almost four years, the business has grown to 18 locations across the country, with Baton Rouge as the latest.
“The culture in Baton Rouge is one of the main reasons we wanted to open a location here, and we knew we wanted to be close to LSU campus,” Mejia says. “I can’t wait to see the LSU-themed hats, fit to each customer’s own style and expression.” rancherhatbar.com
