“Davis and I have pretty much grown up together, but from afar,” explains Alyssa Beth. “We always knew who each other were and always seemed to be at the same birthday parties growing up. But it wasn’t until my senior year of high school that we suddenly became best friends and never went back.”

A year later, the pair found themselves at the same wedding, but not together. Like a scene from a romantic comedy, Alyssa Beth caught the bouquet, while Davis snagged the garter.

“In less than a week we were dating,” Alyssa Beth says. “It just seemed so easy. We already had all the same friends and our families knew each other. It just worked.”

Three years later, Davis proposed to Alyssa Beth on a rainy day in a wooded spot they had spent birthdays prior. In a nod to the night that truly brought them together, the couple planned their own wedding day for New Years Eve the following year.

“It was the most festive night with all of our closest friends and family,” recalls Alyssa. “We were celebrating not only the start of our marriage, but a new year for everyone. Everything turned out so beautiful, and it all seems like a dream looking back on it now. I think it’s safe to say that we have the best anniversary ever!”
