Brunch for a Cure this Sunday

Mimosas will be flowing this Sunday, March 5, as 23 Baton Rouge restaurants band together to host Brunch for a Cure in support of breast cancer research and prevention.

Put on by Baton Rouge Brunches, the citywide feast benefits Susan G. Komen Baton Rouge as restaurants donate at least 15% of proceeds to the cause. Participating restaurants will compete to see which can raise the most money, and many will have special themes for the day. Baton Rouge Brunches is also encouraging diners to form “brunch teams” to eat out with their own special themes, and the top themed team will be recognized by the organization.

Whether they choose the Farmhouse Hash at Canefield Tavern, the breakfast burger at Mason’s Grill, the Lake Pontchartrain crepes at Breck’s Bistro or any of the other savory and sweet items on the menus at participating restaurants, diners will know they’re doing their part in the fight against the disease.

Brunch hours at individual restaurants vary; check the event’s Facebook page for details and a full list of participating restaurants.
