Who says linen is just for summer? With Louisiana weather, this white linen set from Posh Boutique still deserves a few more weeks in your outfit rotation. Photo by Posh Boutique.

White looks for breaking the rules this fall

We all know the rule against wearing white after Labor Day, but these days, fashion abides by more of a “know the rules before you break them” mantra. After all, here in Louisiana, the temperatures will likely be calling for light colors for at least a few more weeks.

So before you move on to a fall color palette, we rounded up a few of our favorite white looks from local boutiques that we think would work way after Labor Day. Here’s to breaking the rules–fashionably!

This tulle loofah dress has been making waves throughout the fashion industry, with celebrities like Kendall Jenner and others stepping out on the red carpet wearing similar frocks. Ideal for a bride but great for anyone, this cocktail dress is ready for all the upcoming fall festivities.

When paired with a lightweight sweater, white jeans become a transitional wardrobe staple.

With the rise of monochrome clothing, replacing a white shirt with a cream shade adds an extra edge. In this look by Blu Spero, white leather shorts are the real statement maker.

This white romper says boss babe, and we’re here for it. The rhinestone buttons juxtapose the workwear style, making the look equal parts fun and structured.

If cowboy boots aren’t your style, these white boots are just as gameday ready without the western flair.
