This entertaining season, designer Angela DiVincenti Babin of Angela Marie Events wants guests to feast with their eyes first. Collaborating with Infinity Farms owner Donna Russell and Gilded Artichoke Catering Co.’s Lisa Boudreaux, she created an elevablack-and-green scene for a modern twist on the holiday feast.

This month’s cover story highlights the art of entertaining, where time, love and creativity are clear in the final result. From using fresh green tomatoes as décor to plucking each yellow petal from the sunflowers in the floral arrangements, Babin says the inspiration was about taking familiar things and seeing them differently, while preserving what the holiday is all about.
