This eighth birthday bash was a slam dunk

As the proud parents of four daughters, Brittney and John Dwight Fusilier always find a way to make each of their girls feel special while celebrating their birthday. This year, for Madison Kate’s eighth birthday, they enlisted the help of Sunny Harden, owner of Jeaux Jumps. Together, they brought together a party filled with creativity, making this party a real buzzer-beater.

“Brittney and JD’s daughter is such a girly girl, and she’s fallen in love with basketball,” says Harden. “We talked over ideas for the party and landed on a basketball bash. Once I had the theme, I was given full creative control.”

Madison Kate’s 8th Season Nike birthday party was a slam dunk, featuring a bounce house, photo wall, balloon arch, concession stand and more, ensuring guests had plenty of entertainment whether on the court or hanging by the sidelines.

“The focal point, the wooden backdrop was a key part of this design,” explains Harden. “Their family is big on getting great pictures, so ensuring the backdrop communicated the theme was paramount. We also gave the kids a fun photoshoot area that they were able to play around with.”

While a child’s birthday party seems like it’s all fun and games, a bash of this caliber takes hard work to plan.

“When choosing the décor, we wanted to make it clear that basketball was feminine,” Harden says. “The colors were bright and bold with a touch of softness. So many elements felt familiar, and it seemed like we had walked into a gym for a game.”
