Manship Hosts 6th annual Home for the Holidays Songwriter Night

There’s an extra reason to celebrate music and merrymaking this Christmas, and the Manship Theatre is making a night of it. This Sunday, Dec. 27, the venue is hosting its 6th annual Home for the Holidays Songwriter Night, an evening showcasing local musicians who have come “home for the holidays” to perform for the city that started them on the road to success.

Hosting some of the same artists every year gives Baton Rouge music buffs a chance to stay involved in these musicians’ careers and watch how they change over time, ensuring new hits to enjoy along with old favorites. This year’s lineup includes acts like Benjy Davis, David Borné, Rhett Anthony Glindmeyer, CJ Solar, Brent Anderson and Helen Darling, all collaborating in two Nashville-style songwriter rounds of music.

The lobby bar will open at 5 p.m., with drink specials including Firefly Moonshine and champagne cocktails, during which time you can mix and mingle during an artist meet-and-greet before the 6 p.m. show.

For a chance to connect with these homegrown musicians, purchase tickets and learn more about the artists at manshiptheatre.org.
