Meet By: Blank Fine Art, a local business working to bring affordable art to young couple’s collections
Hannah Gale Keller has no art background herself, but has always held a strong appreciation for artistic works of all kinds. So much so that she’s started her own business, By: Blank Fine Art.
Like many young adults, Keller is curating a cozy home and building her own art collection. In this process, she was looking for a space with an abundance of options for original fine art that was in a price range she could afford.
“Of course, there are so many artists across the country, and then definitely local, who have so much art available. But there was no one space that I was familiar with at the time,” she says. “So I thought, why not build the space I’m looking for?”
From a young age, she would visit museums on road trips, and she learned how much art can reflect what a city has to offer. And her business shows it.

Can you tell me a bit about the artists you work with?
I’m trying to build a range. I will say that all of the pieces, and all of the artists I’ve had the opportunity and privilege to work for or work with so far, all very much reflect my own personal taste. I wanted to reach out to and work with artists whose work I genuinely love so much because I think that sort of excitement can be relayed to a collector.
It’s all contemporary, original and under $2,500. We have a lot of abstract pieces. We have botanical pieces and landscapes. We have an artist who works with actual, real pressed botanicals, which is really gorgeous. So we have a huge range, and I think that’s what kind of makes it fun. I feel like for anyone who walks into our pop-up or visits our online website, there’s most likely something that they can connect to.
The other thing is, I try to make it a little curated as well. You could walk into one of our pop-ups and visit the setups from any of the artists, and more than likely, you could select pieces from several artists, and they could all live in the same home and make sense with one another.
What do you think makes a piece of art special or worth investing in?
I feel like you can tell very soon if you connect with a piece of art. A lot of times, that initial connection is truly right off the bat. Then, the more you enjoy a piece of art, the more you look at it and really inspect it, the more you tend to love it. I think art just kind of speaks to you for one reason or another. The colors, the medium, the brushstrokes the artist uses or the movement. I think that initial connection and spark with a piece is how you know. A lot of people think there’s a piece for every person, and I really think that’s true. It’s fun at all the pop-ups to see what people gravitate towards because it’s never the same.
Is there anything new or upcoming that customers can look forward to?
For our next pop-up, we’re looking at December 3 at the Bocage Christmas Market, and we’re also partnering with Trends by Design. Along with those two events, we also have our website up now. More dates are coming soon for 2027 events.
