The organization, whosemission is to improve the quality of life for childrenand adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is teaming upthe with Baton Rouge Metro Airport for the city’s firstever Plane Pull Festival. Joining executive director Barry Meyer inmaking the announcement was airport official Ronnie Pickard. The day-long fundraiser is set for Oct. 4 and pits 20corporate teams against each other to see who can pulla Fed-Ex jet the furthest. It also includes aChildren’s Village, live music, jambalaya cookoff and other exhibits andactivities for the entire family. Tapped to serve on TheArc’s board were Brandon Black, president; Mike Tucker, vice president;Derrick Bond, secretary; Betti Helen Walker, treasurer; and members JulieBaxter, Jeff Boudreaux, Patsy Davis, Mary Durusau, state Rep.
