The Baton Rouge Assembly was
formed in 1961by a group of Baton
Rouge men who had grownup together.
The founders realized that as the small
citygrew rapidly after World War II, old
friends were losingcontact with each
other. Because they wanted their children
toknow one another, they established the
Baton Rouge Assembly asan organization
to provide social contact, with the
common threadbeing family residence in
the area prior to 1910.
