The day started witha presentation of colors by the Vietnam Veterans of Louisianaand kept rolling with an appearance by René Fasola, thevisual artist that hand painted the bakery’s mural. Also featuredwas a series of bridal events, including a fashion showfrom Gabrielle’s the Classic Bride Salon, information from Riverside Limousinesand a display of wedding cakes. Other events included VIPtours, appetizers, children’s characters and cake giveaways. Also on handwas Phuong Truong of Ambrosia Bakery, who recently won threemedals at the Retail Bakers of America. The new locationdoubles Ambrosia Bakery’s size, offering more sweets, treats, breakfast, lunchand a private room for bridal meetings. Hosted by co-owner Lauren Bailey Pollard, the celebration lasted a full weekand culminated with a Cynthia Vincent trunk show, featuring theholiday line. The show was complete with champagne and dinner justnext door at Galatoire’s Bistro.
