Since 1989, InRegister has taken its loyal readers to Baton Rouge’s most exciting events and introduced them to its most dynamic people which make this city the place we love to call "home."
From the galas that raise needed funds for the myriad philanthropic causes to the numerous and diverse cultural offerings, we provide an in-depth and personal look into our community. The “Hat Ladies,” a nickname earned from the trend-setting hats we wear to events, are also welcomed into Baton Rouge’s most glamorous homes, inviting gardens and delectable kitchens.
From the vision of its founders/publishers, Chris Russo Blackwood and the late Wanda Horn, inRegister has grown into one of the city’s most prestigious publications. In April 2006, InRegister logged its 200th issue and in 2009, it became part of Louisiana Business Inc., publishers of Baton Rouge Business Report, 225 and 10/12 magazines. We mail to subscribers’ homes and businesses. Additional magazines are sold via our newsstands located throughout the area. By the end of the month, more than 60,000 people have read InRegister.

Meet the Hat Ladies & Gentlemen:
Chris Russo BlackwoodEditor & Publisher chris@inRegister.com Chris created InRegister with the late Wanda Horn in July 1989. She previously worked for The Advocate People section and has experience in writing and editing, photography, graphics and television as well as media and event management. She frequently trades her trademark chapeau for a bike helmet, logging loads of miles on her beloved Trek hybrid. |
Susan RossManaging Editor sross@inRegister.com Susan always chooses the "road less traveled." This award-winning graphic designer not only brings that artistic edge into the mix but can always find a reason to let loose and have a little fun ... after five that is. She counters her desk job, graphic design, with a gift for photo styling, bringing detailed genius to InRegister’s photo shoots. |

Tricia ReedAccount Executive treed@inRegister.com Tricia is the calming touch to the wild ensemble we call the sales team. She is a traditionalist through and through and, when in need of a voice of reason, we turn to her. She can put a positive spin on anything, and can always find humor in the simplest things. Tricia’s forte is wading through the details, which always works in her clients’ favor. |
