Film Lounge with Capital City Grill presents ‘Labyrinth’

Courtesy of the Manship Theatre, the popular Film Lounge with Capital City Grill series continues next Wednesday, Feb. 10, with a screening of Jim Henson’s 1986 cult classic film Labyrinth.

Starring the recently deceased David Bowie in one of his most eccentric roles on or off the concert stage, Labyrinth tells the story of Sarah (played by Jennifer Connelly), a selfish 16-year-old girl who makes wishes to a fictional Goblin King that he might make her baby brother disappear. That same night, when Jareth the Goblin King (Bowie) does arrive and kidnaps the infant, Sarah stumbles into his surreal kingdom full of strange creatures and logic-defying landscapes. There, she is given 13 hours to solve Jareth’s labyrinth and bring her brother back to the human world.

Featuring cozy furniture courtesy of Denicola’s Upholstery, cabaret tables, a full bar and servers bringing food and beverages directly to your seat, this event features a special menu from Capital City Grill downtown.
